Valesti and Ari got married on Sunday. It was quite lovely. We sat around and spammed skills and turned the chapel into a dance floor and peed in the fountains and took a fair few group photos only to cap it all off with that most classic of MMO wedding dress codes, nudism.
So, for those who missed it and those who'd like to see it again, the chubby little cheeks depicted in the final cutscene from Ari & Valesti's wedding. Cheers.
I mean, you're still missing out on Popo's lapdances, but that's really something you've got to get a piece of firsthand. Perhaps I'll upload some screenshots later.
PostScript I'm going to use this as a blog thread. It'll contain whatever I want to put here and anyone's welcome to respond. Topics will shift as time progresses.
Vann's subscription ended late last night when we were trying to put together a Brayflox run for Hinton. Hugs were shared after Atmas were. . . attempted.
I know he'll back but it won't be the same without him in the meantime. He'll be missed.
On a happier note, Liam's now Dioskouroi! And don't get any funny ideas. You know we don't do temporary promotions.
Okay, so a day after the above post we chucked the rank Dioskouroi out the window entirely and retitled it to the decidedly more apt Minyai, as we proceeded to promote Popo, Taran, and Ari to co-lead with us in addition to Liam. So remember, if anyone needs anything, go bug Popo.
Patch 2.5 is here! Lotsa new content to play, items to craft (or to get someone else to craft for you), and never enough time in the day. I finally got my room all nice and decorated only to have them drop a bunch of probably-cool new doman / "far eastern" decorative items as soon as I do. You're breakin' my balls here, SE. Next you're gonna drop that housing in the mountains I've been dreaming of ever since we went hunting for the best place to host our FC. >.>
Also, Taran and Popo got married last Sunday. It was quite lovely. There was a flying kiss and everything. I can't help but wonder how many more FC weddings there will be in the near future. All the most couple-y couples I can think of are FF married now. . . unless you count me, but Zen isn't level 50 yet and SE doesn't allow cradle robbing. D: Jerks.
Let's see. . . Hinton hit his first 50, Vann's on this weekend, and after a year of running from even the thought of playing White Mage, I've finally gotten to 50 there as well. It's certainly different than I remember. I know a lot more of the game and its mechanics than I did when I was a level 43 with growing pains on my first class because I wanted to finish the Lightning event which meant I had to level clear to 40-something in two or three weeks from my teens. Kinda proud that I pulled it off, even if a bad party and a severe lack of skill did break that camel's back.
Now if only I could get through the relic trials in one piece, all I'd need is BLM for the Arch Mage title. That's probably next on my hit list.
Oh! and Valentione is starting in a couple of days. I'm really looking forward to the new event barding. It's gonna be great!~
Due to drama within Argo's static, a rift formed and Popo left the FC to form another, taking a handful of our best and brightest with him. Hopefully the fallout has died down now and we won't lose any more really cool kids. Hinton honestly surprised the fuck out of me when he hopped, but hopefully he'll get help learning bard from Taran and/or Renko, as they also made the leap and actually know the ropes already. I'm personally saddened that Liam also left to join Popo's motley crew, but whatcha gonna do. We're all trying to stay on good terms but it'll never be the same. All we can do is move forward.
Valesti's taken a bit of a hiatus for personal reasons that I won't go into here, making Vann the FC leader. They both had and have my utmost support in these and future endeavors.
We're going to try to kickstarting some new and old FC events that don't revolve around a static party of whatever-runners which, let's face it, was a serious stress factor for all involved and overtaxed the majority of its members, or at least those who are still here. I'm guessing it'll be a very long time before we start running static raids again, which is fine with me considering I've never been interested in regularly scheduled runs of any sort beyond progression. . . and even that's more of an as-needed basis. We'll see what happens.
